Moving to SC

Happy New Year 2011. I have moved from my life long home in Toledo, Ohio to Greenwood, South Carolina. My husband's job brings us to this lovely new countryside and we are trying to settle into a new routine of empty nester's and new residents. Right now everything is a sea of boxes and of course I can't find a thing. As soon as we settle in, I plan to sew pillowcase dresses again and find a new market here in the south. I have lots of ideas for a Posh 2011. Right now we are enjoying the season without all the "freezing"! Y'all keep warm and keep in touch. Cheers!

Yes! After 2 years of trying to sell our home in Toledo, we have sold our much loved home and will be relocating in Greenwood, South Carolina. Closet is cleaned out, and I am presently only sewing a few dresses for the holidays for special orders. Mermaid for the beach for Courtney in Macon, Georgia. This was a special order and made out of Tutti Frutti material with a fleece and cotton mermaid applique. She has a bling tail with Swarovski gems. I'm sure she will be a real star on the beach. I can sew for you, e-mail orders are always welcome.

I've been watching the Winter Olympics and being a "Hockey MOM" I was thrilled when USA beat the Canadians last night, so I dug through my fabric and came up with USA Red, White and Blue!!! SOLD This is my summer edition of fun. I took Tutti Fruitti fabric and appliqued a fun fleece fish and came up with gosh darn cute! Enjoy Mia!

Stars and States

SOLD Stars and States for summer. This is new stars fabric that I found for this summers festivities. Red White and Blue are always in and I added a really neat hem that is a listing of all 50 states. When I make the dress, I'll try and cut the hem to show off your home. This little dress is going to Michigan so I added a Blue Star wherever the word Michigan is printed, likewise I'll do something for your little dress also. This is all new cotton fabric, pre-washed, and side seams finished. The grosgrain ribbon ties are Fray checked to prevent unraveling.

This is Stripes & Stars updated. This is a one and only dress, but it looked to plain to me, so I added the ribbon medallion and big red button to jazz up the hem. SOLD

E-bay & Consignment Sales

Hello Everyone, today was the Point Place Parade and I was asked to put some Pillowcase dresses on consignment at the Point Place T's and More shop. This is a tee shirt shop owned by Jane Murray in Point Place (Toledo) and she specializes in mostly silk screening, some embroidery and has some really neat cigar box purses that she did classes with. She also has consignment embroidery shirts and tee's embellished with studs and beads that are very neat. I am editing the blog tonight to show where each of my dresses are at currently and noting that many of them are ONLY ONE's left. This week new stars and stripes dresses will be posted and look for a new "fishy fishy" dress that's really cute. SOLD Strawberry Season! I have loved strawberries as long as I can remember. Picking berries for the church summer parade days will always be one of my best memories that my Mom and I did together. Sew, naturally this is now one of my favorite dresses, as I couldn't resist the material when I saw it! This is cotton, with a seeded pocket attached. This dress measures 23.5 inches, hopefully just right for your little strawberry princess.

Busy, sorry about the lack of new dresses, I've been busy sewing a tee-shirt quilt for my son Alan, it's almost a year late already for graduation, so I thought I better get going. In the mean time I've add PAY PAL for on-line buyers and there's new dresses in the making to be posted next week. Dog Gone Cute

SOLD I am emptying out my closet of last years fall/winter dresses and have one of these Dog Gone Cute Scottie Dog dresses left. The dress is hemmed in cotton red paw print and then trimmed with a cotton black applique bow that I hand stitched with DMC white thread for accent and decorated with a big button.
